Mission Statement:

Benevolent Warrior Ranch is inspired to serve US Military Veterans in the Pacific Northwest by offering opportunities to learn basic horsemanship skills and experience the benefits of equine therapy.

Leading to:

  • Use of equine therapy as a therapeutic tool to fight the unique mental health battles veterans face in their civilian lives.
  • A connection between the Veteran and the horse that evokes personal growth, self-reflection, patience, and mindfulness, tools the Veteran can build upon to improve their ability to cope with stress and trauma.
  • Camaraderie and emotional support from other veterans involved in the program.
  • Greater community involvement in supporting local veterans.

Core Values

Horsemanship – We know that veterans have already acquired skills through their military service such as leadership, confidence, and dedication that can be applied when learning horsemanship techniques.  Horsemanship as an outlet for built up energy.

Equine Therapy – Horsemanship skills will support the veteran’s connections with horses, animals of proven therapeutic value, and be able to connect their experiences with equine therapy as coping skills in everyday situations.

Camaraderie – We recognize that the veteran community thrives in camaraderie, and the Benevolent Warrior Ranch will give veterans a place to support one another and work together to improve their lives.

Access – We believe that veterans in the Pacific Northwest are underserved, and should have access to diverse kinds of emotional support tools in the region they live in. Services like ours that serve veterans are not common in our region.

Community – We believe the community wants to support veterans, and this will provide a location and cause to do so.

Thank you to our generous sponsors whom are deeply committed to helping our Veterans:
