All too often, veterans leave active duty with a sour taste. Some of us, Matthew included, discard our military identity because of our moral injuries received from service. Bad idea! In doing so, camaraderie and fellowship are lost. We move away from our support structure and struggle to trust build another. We provide an opportunity for fellowship and an outlet for stories that cannot be told to civilians.
Our success will be measured in the quality of the veterans’ experiences. BWR will strive to continue refining its programs, and focus on serving each veteran who seeks equine therapy with a customized horseman program which enhances their ability to cope with their daily lives. BWR believes that every veteran who achieves peace with equine therapy, will bring peace to their loved ones and community as well.
